Job Overview

A specialised Accounting and Advisory firm is hiring a Document Controller to manage and organise high volumes of financial records. This role focuses on structuring historical data into accurate, audit-ready digital systems, supporting multi-year financial reconstructions and SARS remediation projects.

This is a 3-month fixed-term contract requiring 6–8 hours per day, ideal for someone highly organised, detail-driven, and experienced in handling complex documentation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain structured digital filing systems
  • Organise and categorise large volumes of financial documents
  • Ensure consistent naming conventions and document indexing
  • Track outstanding documents using registers and flag inconsistencies
  • Support accountants and bookkeepers with audit documentation
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Prepare document packs for SARS-related processes


Minimum Requirements

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • 1–3 years’ experience in admin or document control
  • Strong attention to detail and data management skills
  • Ability to work methodically and manage large datasets

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma or certificate in Administration or Records Management
  • Experience in accounting or professional services environment
